B32 (BartókStreet 32.)
Cultural Center, located in the heart of the 11th district in Budapest,is surrounded by other cultural facilities and cafes like the famous Hadik Cafe or Szatyor.
B32 addresses a wide audience: from children aged 6-8, to students (18-30) of the numerous universities in the district, to the elderly, retired people (50+) of the neighborhood.
That’s why we decided to show this diversity using the tools of typography, so we selected a young Hungarian typographer, Ádám Katyi (Hungarumlaut), and used fonts designed by him: a monospaced childish one, a sans font for the young students and a didone font for the elderly.
These 3 fonts comprise the B32 typography.
We could think in a complex way, because we were commissioned to redesign not only the identity, but the interior of the entrance hall as well.
This way the interior spaces could also be used to communicate the identity.
