What you'll need:
Cooking instructions:
Slice the croissants and pour 6 dl of milk over them. It's better to use whole milk for a tastier result. Separate the eggs, beat the yolks with sugar and vanilla until creamy. Set the egg whites aside.Pour the egg yolk mixture over the croissants and mix well. Peel and core the apples, then cut them into thin slices.
Heat the butter in a frying pan and sauté the apples with cinnamon and 2 tbsp of sugar for a few minutes. Grease a medium-sized baking dish and line the bottom with half of the croissant mixture.
Add the sautéed apples on top and cover with the other half of the croissant mixture. Spread 3 tbsp of plum jam over the top layer of the croissant mixture.
Bake for 20 minutes at 180°C. Take out of the oven and spread the beaten egg whites mixed with 2 tbsp of plum jam over the top. Put it back in the oven for a few more minutes until golden brown.
